ROBOTIC POOL CLEANERS GAIN GROUND

Robotic cleaners differ from other pool cleaners in that they work independently of a pool's filtration system.  There are no hoses, to attach, to the pressure or suction sides of the pool's plumbing system.  Instead, they have only an electric line to a 24-volt power supply that plugs into a ordinary 120 volt wall current.
They gather debris from the floor and walls of the pool, and retain it in a bag or cartridge inside the robotic unit. You simply take out the bag or cartridge and hose it off when it is full.
The cleaners are energy efficient and do benefit the enviroment. These units run without having the pool's circulation pump running. And they are timed to shut-off automatically.
In addition, because robotic cleaners keep debris out of the filter system, the pool's filter can require less backwashing, thus saving a lot of water. Call me with questions: Richard DeMarco:1-800-770-7665....email: richard@paradisepoolandspa.com

NEW TYPE OF POOL-FILTER MEDIA

I have had great success with ECO-GLASS recycled crushed glass filter media for sand filters. This glass media filters much finer than sand or cartridge. In fact, it filters as fine as a DE filter. If you want more information about this great pool-water filtering product call me: Rich DeMarco 609-368-3118 or email: richard@paradisepoolandspa.com

HOW SALT CHLORINE GENERATORS WORK

1. Water from the pool, containing a small amount of dissoved salt, enters the "Salt Chlorine Generator Cell", while your pump is running.
2. A small electric charge is applied to eletrolytic plates, inside the "salt cell", creating a current flow.
3.Chlorine ion is then released as a gas, and then combines with the water coming out of the cell.
4. So, water with pure chlorine is now returned to the pool.
5. This chlorine gas goes into the water, as it returns to the pool, providing a nearly constant source of sanitizer.(Replacing the need for chlorine in the pool, and the storage and adding of chlorine shock by the pool owner.)

HOW TO SAVE MONEY WITH POOL PLUMBING

With the proper plumbing hydraulics, in your pool's water pipe system, you will be able to decrease the horsepower of your pool pump to save energy(Money). The lower horsepower pump will actually clean your pool-water better, by more slowly forcing the water through the filter, thus allowing the filter to grab more particles instead of having them pushed through the filter grids or sand media by the higher speed flow of the larger horsepower pump. There is a lot more to pool-plumbing than just running some PVC water-pipes from the pool to the pump/filter and back. Call me at: 609-313-0300 with any questions. Sincerely; Richard@paradisepoolandspa.com

Watch out for rust on galvanized steel pool-walls

Plain galvanized steel pool-walls have a tendency to rust and corrode, but if you purchase an inground vinyl-liner pool-wall that is polyester powder-coated over the galvnized steel, you protect the wall from rust and corrosion. We carry the exclusive "POLYSTEEL" polyester powder-coated vinyl-liner pool-wall, that will not rust or corrode like a plain galvanized wall, and will not bow, bend, or crack like a polymer-plastic pool-wall.Call 609-313-0300 for more information...Sincerely; Richard@paradisepoolandspa.com

HOW TO DETERMINE IF POOL IS LEAKING

Bucket Test...If you notice your pool-water level is decreasing faster than normal, you may have a leak. Follow these simple steps:
1. Fill a bucket with pool-water. Fill to about one inch from the top.
2. Place the bucket in the pool on the first or second step.
3. When the water stops moving up & down, and is very still, use a marker to mark the water level on the inside of the bucket.
4. Now mark the pool-water level on the outside of the bucket.
5. For the first 24 hours run the filter/pump continuously. DO NOT TURN IT OFF!!! After 24 hours, use a ruler to measure the water loss in the bucket and then in the pool. Measure down to 1/16 of an inch. And mark it for review later.
6. Next, turn the filter.pump off!
7. Make a new mark on the inside &outside of the bucket. NOW LEAVE THE PUMP OFF for the next 24 hours. DO NOT ALLOW THE PUMP TO TURN ON!!!!
8. After the 24hour off-period document the water loss again, in the bucket and in the pool(outside of the bucket). If they are the same-probably no leak.
9. If you lost more water in the pool than inside the bucket, it's a good chance that you have a leak. (Remember, the bucket is the control and tells you how much evaporation exists.)  (Both the pool & bucket will evaporate the same amount.)
You will need to have your pool further tested for leaks, by sonar testing, and pipe pressure testing.

GLASS MEDIA FILTERS POOL WATER FINER

ECOsmarte's Glasspack filtration media lowers both the micron rating and water use in sand filters for swimming pools. It's a direct replacement for sand in freshwater & saltwater pools.
Made from 100% post-consumer waste glass, (like bottles), that's machined and sterilized.
Installed on pool filter systems in South Jersey by paradisepoolandspa.com
Saves 25% of chemical use; 75% of water;and filters down to 2 microns vs. 50 microns with sand in your filter. Zero silica dust & NO phosphate load, and will not channel in your filter tank.Finely crushed recycled glass provides outstanding water clarity and quality.

POOL BUILDING IN SOUTH JERSEY

South Jersey has many obstacles to the pool-building process. There are many questions that sould be asked before taking that jump into installing a pool in your backyard. For some answers call me at: 1-800-770-7665...published by; Richard DeMarco of paradisepoolandspa.com

POLYESTER POWDER-COATING

Galvanized-steel pool-walls must be powder-coated to inhibit the chances of rust & corrosion. Yes, Galvanized-steel pool-walls are stronger than Polymer-Plastic walls, but the rusting feature must be greatly reduced for the pool-wall to hold up in the ground.
Polyester powder-coating, of galvanized steel pool-walls, is the only way to go to make the backyard pool last, without rusting & corrosion of the pool-wall behind the vinyl-liner. published by; paradisepoolandspa.com

Vinyl Pool-Wall types

Polymer walls for vinyl-liner pools will bend, bow and crack by freeze & thaw conditions that expand and push the backfilled-dirt on the plastic wall. Polymer walls will not rust like steel, but they don't have the strength of steel pool-walls in the ground.
Galvanized steel walls are much stronger than polymer walls but, unlike polymer, can rust & corrode.
You must powder-coat galvanized steel walls, to prevent rusting & corroding, with a Polyester powder-coat. published by: paradisepoolandspa.com
